What is the difference between SAS 70 Audited and SAS 70 Compliant Plans?

Frankly, there is very little difference between the plans. The physical hardware is the same, the bandwidth, security and services are the same, and most importantly, the people who will be supporting you are the same. So, what is actually different?

We apply the same practices, policies and security management processes to both data centers. The same team is responsible for configuring and managing the hosting service for both data centers. The simple difference is that one data center undergoes a true SAS 70 Type II audit, while the other does not.

The fact is that only a small percentage of our clients actually require and use our SAS 70 Audited solution, while the majority just need the security assurances of our SAS 70 compliant solution, without the additional expense of a full SAS 70 audited solution.

Which do you need?

While we cannot make that decision for you, we can tell you that if the solution you intend to host with us meets any one of these criteria, it may be best to choose ouf SAS 70 Audited solution:

  • You will host your online banking application and data on our servers
  • You will host your online bill payment application and data on our servers
  • You will host your ACH or Wire Transfer application and data on our servers
  • You plan to use our servers for off-site secure backup for your core processing system data
